How to enable Mukurtu taxonomy (person) records

Note: This feature was first included in version 2.0.8, and will continue to undergo development

This feature is accessible to Mukurtu Administrators.

Before person records can be created, the relevant taxonomies must be enabled. Using established taxonomy fields will allow the linking of records where a person is listed in different fields, such as Person, Contributor, or Creator.

From the dashboard, select “Mukurtu Taxonomy Record Sitewide Settings” from the Mukurtu Taxonomy Records box (most likely located at the bottom left corner of the dashboard).

Select the taxonomy fields that you will use to identify people who will have person records. The Creator, Contributor, and People fields are the most likely, but others can be selected. Click “Save configuration”.

Person records can now be created.
